ITALY – The camera of a Milan fan had to be mobilized in order for Zlatan Ibrahimović to arrive on time and participate with his friend Sinisa Mikhailović in the Sanremo Festival.
Despite leaving Milan early in the afternoon, the Swede was stuck in traffic for hours on the motorway (A10), due to a collision of two trucks that had blocked both lanes.
“We were worried and found out that there was an accident on the highway that stopped him,” festival host Amadeus explained as he welcomed Zlatan Ibrahimović to the stage of the Ariston Theater.
“After 3 hours I told the driver to let me go. “I found a motorcyclist and asked him to accompany me to Sanremo. Fortunately, he was a Milan fan,” said the Swede, which was confirmed by a video shown on the big screen. “I did 60 kilometers with him on a motorcycle.”
Before singing “Io, Vagabondo” (I wonder), together with Sinisa Mikhailović, they talked about their friendship, while the Serb said: “He envies me for something he does not have yet, the Champions Cup. He played it, I won it. ” for Zlatan to answer that “there is still time”.
Mikhailović, who suffers from leukaemia, commenting on the disease, said “I did not think it could happen to me and overnight it changed my life”, while his friend added: “When I heard the news, I did not the power to call him. Then when I did, I could not speak on this phone call, he was the one who gave me strength. It gave me hope. I wanted to help him in every way. “
