The fourth artist to have been invited to the 8th OGAE Congress to be held in Barcelona is the Swedish artist, Sarah Dawn Finer.
Born and bred in Sweden, she has a British father and American mother. Her first EP, published in 2006 was “Sarah Dawn Finer” containing 6 songs and was followed up by her first album in 2007. This reached number 2 in the Swedish charts and included the hit songs, “I Remember Love”, “Stockholm by Morning” and “A way back to love”.
In 2009, she participated in the Melodifestivalen with the song “Moving on” which was included in the album of the same name and reached number 1 in the Swedish charts. She had previously participated in Melodifestivalen in 2007 with the ballad “I Remember Love”; included in her first album, which placed 4th.
In 2009 she was the spokesperson for Sweden during the voting stage and presented Melodifestivalen in 2012 alongside Helena Bergström and Gina Dirawi. She also took the part of Lynda Woodruff, participating in a series of sketches that were broadcast during the Melodifestivalen 2013 and the main final in Malmö. She took part in a homage to Abba singing “The Winner Takes it All” which was very well received.
