This is a modern and safe choice for Slovenia. A good song with no vocal difficulties in order to be delivered live, and a tune which doesn’t bother you in a negative way. ManuElla though needs to show more personality to the press and the viewers during her live performance. I don’t think this will end up well but still she has a chance to prove me wrong in Stockholm.
Jaime Solloso from Spain
I kind of initially pictured Leanne Rhymes when hearing this but there seems to be a strange country music tempo to this that seems to hamper the rhythm of the song. It seems to want to be a pop song but it’s being delayed for some reason. It’s a likeable song and I could easily play this over and again but for Eurovision, it’s not going to appeal to the masses. I don’t understand the title of the song either, “Blue and Red” doesn’t make much sense to most of the European nations. I think this will either creep into the final or totally fail to make it.
Morden Kaiser from Denmark
Blue is blue and red is red. No shit! I wouldn’t have guessed. This song just seems awkward. ManuElla is sweet and all, but the song doesn’t give me anything. This is a type of song that will be forgotten quickly and that won’t make Slovenia’s road to the Grand Final easier.
