SPAIN – Spanish singer Nalaya, who has been prominent in the Ibiza circuit since 2006, has proposed a song for Eurovision 2017. The song has been composed and produced by William Luque who previously composed the song for Stanley Miller “Chipper”, a finalist in the Swiss National Final 2016. The song, named “Carousel” is a dance number which is aimed to include many stage visuals. The aim is to enter the Spanish National Selection and be the Spanish representative in Kiev in May.
Nalaya is a self-confessed Eurofan, who previously took part in he television talent show “La Voz” (The Voice) and achieving qualification for the final rounds. She was also named in 2014 by EDM as Best International Vocalist in Brazil and by the Vicius Music Awards in Spain as Best Spanish vocalist. She has been active at pride festivals, notably as the opening act for Lady Gaga at Europride in Rome in 2011.
