PARIS, FRANCE – The French broadcaster has announced the names of the commentators for the 61st edition of Eurovision. The duo Stéphane Bern / Marianne James will once again be on duty!
Given the good TV ratings (4.4 million viewers, a record since 2009) and the quite positive feedback from their work in Vienna, the broadcaster felt no need to change the team, and the two of them have said “Oui”!
One question remains though, who will stand on stage to represent the hexagon in Stockholm? The internal choice should be on its way but no one expects an answer before 2016. In the meantime, fans cross their fingers for Kenji Girac or Indila. But don’t bet on those contenders.
Nathalie André, France 2 head of entertainment is in charge of picking the French entrant and let’s bet she’ll come up with another name, since she declared she has learned from last year’s mistakes.
DID YOU KNOW?
In Vienna, France could not leave the bottom of the scoreboard. Lisa Angell, and her classical emotional ballad about World War I ended up 25th with only 4 points! This very disappointing result upset the singer as well as France 2 head of entertainment Nathalie André who declared she would learn and react from her very first Eurovision experience.
