STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN – Last night the Eurovision fan world was shocked when “Youniverse” leaked on the web via Amazon as it would possible meant that Molly Sandén could be disqualify.
Today SVT announced that the singer and the song will proceed normally to the 4th semi final of Melodifestivalen 2016 as it was proven by Sony Music that the leak was neither the artist not the label’s fault.
Aftonbladet though speculate that the timing of the leak was convenient as Wiktoria (from second semi final) and Robin (from first semi final) started to grow a lot in public opinion and bets.
Christer Björkman said :“We have not found any intention of the artist or its record company as in all communications they were clear that the release date is 28 February. The mistake happened in the next stage which means that there is no reason for disqualification. Unfortunately, it happened, and we recommend that record companies should be very clear in their communications with the various sale channels”
