GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – Swiss national broadcaster SRF announced their participation and national selection plans for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. SRF will collaborate with RTR, RTS and RSI again for the national final. The rules and terms for the national selection participation have been announced as well.
Those interested will upload their entries and videos on SRF’s website from 28/9 to 26/10 and ten acts will proceed to the next phase.
In the second phase, the live auditions, SRF, RTR will decide 10 acts, RTS six and RSI three. These 19 acts will compete in front of a professional jury and will decide the six acts for the final (SFR/RTR get 3, RTS get 2 and RSI gets 1)
Kreuzlingen will be the spot for the national final once again on February 13th. The final decision will be reached by jury (50%) and tele voting (50%).
