Konstantin Meladze jury member of the selection responded: “I can not agree with people saying that semifinalists were selected in such a way to ensure that Ukraine does not win again. All questions will be answered immediately after the start of the semifinals, you will see on 4 February, during the first semi, that the level of participants is not lower than last year. Young bands in the national preselection are ready to compete with already established bands and artists SKAI, Green Gray, ROZHDEN, ILLARIA. We’ve carefully chosen the semifinalists among thousands of applications, helping them with the the arrangements, correction of the form of the song. All of them are very well prepared, the chances are almost equal… In the Eurovision 2017 Ukraine can get into the top three.”
