The second and third-placed acts from the second round of voting qualified for the second chance semi-final.
LIAMOO received the most votes in the first round of voting and advanced straight to the final. Following the second round of voting, it was announced that John Lundvik had received the runner-up berth to the final, with Alvaro Estrella and Tone Sekelius advancing to the Semi-Final. ROMANIA
This year’s Romanian selection has been regarded as one of the more difficult ones, so let’s focus on what occurred here during the semi-final to keep things simple. Since we’ve previously discussed how this selection works in general, let’s stick to what’s crucial for now. Tonight, a total of 20 artists were chosen to participate in the televised semi-final, with these acts chosen by both the juries and an online public vote. The jury chose 15 of them, with the internet voting able to save an additional 5 acts.
This evening’s competition included 20 performers. Despite streaming the program live for the fans to watch, that was pretty much all they could do since the semi-final was exclusively selected by the 5 jury members who assessed each song throughout the night, Alexandra Ungureanu, Ozana Barabancea, Randi, Cristian Faur, and Adrian Romcescu.
