Dutch singer Romy Monteiro revealed that Dutch national broadcaster approached her for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. Usually the artists make such a statement with the permission of the broadcaster, which means there is fire here. But she is not that keen to do it as she considers it’s too soon for her.
“I would like to get a little better myself and then I hope to go to Eurovision one day. I have not turned down their offer for good.”
Dutch singer, born in Utrecht on 13 November 1992 is the daughter of Antje Monteiro. Participated in The Voice Of Holland in 2014, where she debuted with Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” during the blind auditions. Joined the team of Trijntje Oosterhuis, and reached the quarter finals. In 2015 she was selected to play the part of Rachel Marron in the Dutch version of the musical The Bodyguard, which staged in the Beatrix Theater in Utrecht from September 2015 until July 16, 2017.
