AUSTRALIA – A furious Kelly Rowland confronted Guy Sebastian and Boy George after one of them blocked her from recruiting contestant Johnny Manuel onto her team. Each coach has two ‘blocks’ they can secretly use during the auditions this year. This means they’re able to block another coach from getting a singer that they want.
She’s been serving up all the style goals during her appearance on The Voice Australia, and this latest look is a masterpiece of fashion architecture. Kelly’s turquoise ensemble features a plunging neckline, frill details and structured shoulders, and is one of the standout pieces by Vietnamese designer Cong Tri. And whilst event dressing might be off the cards, for now, there’s no better time to get prepped for next season and beyond. So if you’re loving Kelly’s look why not click right to take a closer look at the collection, where you can purchase made to order pieces.
Johnny (member of EQUINOX, who represented Bulgaria in the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest), who appeared on America’s Got Talent in 2017 but now lives in New South Wales with his partner, impressed all with his rendition of Home by Diana Ross. However, as the coaches started pitching for the artist to join their teams, the Destiny’s Child star was blocked from potentially getting him on Team Kelly.
“I’m glad it’s exciting for you all…. but which one of y’all did this? Now I know how this button feels and I don’t like it,” Kelly vented. Making light of the situation, Johnny laughed: ‘It is quite surreal that Kelly Rowland and Boy George are fighting over who wants me on their team.’ Twisting the knife, Boy George added: ‘We’re not fighting because she’s blocked.’
Kelly then walked over to Guy, asking: ‘I’m really upset. Did you block me? Are you sure you didn’t block me? What did you do, Guy? Tell me, tell me in my eyes.’ She then focussed on Boy George, who she also suspected of the block. ‘Oh baby, I’m not going to admit anything unless my lawyer is present,‘ responded Boy George, making it obvious that he blocked her.
Johnny later chose Guy Sebastian to be his mentor on the show.
