Hello Europe, this is oikotimes.com calling live from Malmö and we will bring you another set of highlights of the day. Rememeber this post will be updated throughout the day with the key highlights of the events taking place in and around the Eurovision Song Contest 2013.
:: The Euroclub, located in the area near the Central Station looks amazing, with Starbucks aside we have the perfect view of the event. Unfortunately the rehearsals are closed (the first set) for the press and media but we intend to enjoy them as much as possible.
:: Just saw it on Facebook. KuRT Calleja (Malta 2011) has his birthday and we would like to wish him a very special happy birthday. After all a year ago he managed to qualify his country in the Eurovision final. You can see a special video his fans made on the web here.
:: Fans and website editors are already on the spot starting to reporting through their websites and media portals with the rehearsals and the first impressions. Guess what: we will do the same thing as we do for 12 years now, hurray!
:: Italy is growing here. Yes, don’t get surprised if Marco Mengoni brings the trophy back to Rome and mark my words on it. Besides his success in YouTube (having the most views – more than 13 million of them) he is considered here the big favourite (all of the sudden). It would be amazing to get the contest back to Italy (after all this is why the country returned to the contest, right?)
:: Hannah Mancini managed to give a video interview before her departure for the Eurovision 2013 host city and you can enjoy the video of which here.
:: Zlata Ognevich and Ukrainian delegation are desperately trying to win this year and they will do anything they can to achieve it. Zlata is already having her two boys on her side (the Klitchko brothers) and of course she got a photo with the two Ukrainian hotties. Check it here.
:: Andrius Pojavis is departing for Malmoe and the press was there to farewell the Lithuanian artist. Somehow Andrius looks very sexy on the photos his uploaded on his official facebook page. Have a look here and let us know how they work on your libido.
:: The Dorians are proudly representing Armenia with a song called “Lonely Planet” the remix of which has been released today. You can listen to it here if you of course, have time to waste as most of us think that Armenia wouldn’t even qualify this year with this song.
:: We also saw the giant that will accompany Zlata on stage. Still wondering what’s the point but we hope to figure it out during the rehearsals. Looks kinda ugly though doesn’t he? Check the photo here.
:: The bookies and polls favourite, Denmark’s Emmelie de Forest is in Malmoe and gets ready to hold the trophy. The photo she uploaded on Facebook shows how simple and amazing this person is. Can’t wait to meet her in person. Check the photo here.
:: Do you remember Tom Dice from Eurovision 2010 representing Belgium? Well he is back and through eurovision.tv he sends his message to the Eurovision 2013 participants. Check the video here.
