The big fuzz is over and now we are gearing up to the host stuff! Eurovision 2013 May 12th begins with the series of BIG 5 and host country rehearsals. Though we will stick into presenting you the highlights of the contest across Europe.
MALTA
As the first semifinal is just three days away almost everything is known about it. On the information list now we can add that the comentators for Malta’s PBS will be Gordon Bonello and Rodney Gauci. They are a “popular” comical duo from Malta, that will hopefully increase the viewing share to PBS. (They are hoping for that to happen). Also the votes will be read by Emma Hickey, a model studying interior-design (What a combination). She also appeared in the video for “Tomorrow”. More importantly is that the votes of Germany will be read by Lena, also Norway’s by Tooji, Latvia’s by Anmary, Armenia’s by Andre, Russia’s by Alsou, and as we prevously reported, Yohio will do the same for Sweden.
NORWAY MEETS SWEDEN
“Will the Swedish give any points to Norway this year” (for the true Eurofans recalling the 1996 hostess calling in Sweden). Margaret Berger is impressing everyone here in Malmoe and Robin Stjernberg is one of them. The two neighbor country participants met and promised to support eachother. After all they got a photo together.
OIKOTIMES ON YOUTUBE
It started to wrok much better with the WiFi problems here in the press center, a lot better than yesterday and oikotimes.com is uploading a series of videos from the press conferences.
ISRAEL LAUNCH OFFICIAL VIDEO CLIP
Moran Mazor, who is representing Israel this year published her official video for “Rak Bishvilo” yesterday. Why, oh why did she decided to do it just three days before the contest, when we all know that a video can really help a song to be more likable. Anyway with a video like this one, it wouldn’t help her much. See it your self.
KLAPA s MORA MEET BONNIE TYLER
Bonnie Tyler and Klapa s mora met in Malmö and sang together “It’s a heartache” and “Mižerja”.
They met yesterday in Tyler’s hotel and Klapa s mora surprised her with Tyler’s big hit single “It’s a heartache”. Then they sang a cappella version of “Mižerja” to her. She was very pleased and surprised. After that Croatian Radiotelevision made an interview with her. Watch the video here.
UKRAINE
Today I was invited to the Sunday Language School here in Sweden. Kids from many countries of the former USSR come here every Sunday to learn Russian. The kids were great! What I like about them the most is that they are so sincere and so cute! They had been preparing to see me and when I arrived they sang and danced for me. I am so thankful for their emotions and for their open hearts! You can check the images here
