FRANCE – Speaking to French press (after TV appearance) the 2020 Eurovision hunk disappointed us all with the confirmation of what we all expected: He is out Eurovision 2021.
Tom Leeb says: “I would very much like to represent myself, but it depends on many things”.
Tom Leeb will not be able to represent France in the 2021 edition of the Eurovision competition. On the set of Mickaël Dorian of “Non-Stop People”, the actor, seen in the film Edmond, said that his schedule did not allow it.
“We agreed with France Télévisions. (…) I have a pretty busy schedule next year so I couldn’t do Eurovision. It’s official. Other things are coming my way, “he said.
France Télévisions will speak on the continuation of the events and the selection process of its candidate very soon, he promises.
The Eurovision adventure was a tumultuous odyssey for the artist, well before the coronavirus epidemic precipitated the cancellation of the competition.
With part of his lyrics in English, his title “The Best in Me” had been strongly criticized by the Minister of Culture Franck Riester. Tom Leeb had finally proposed a more acoustic version, this time entitled “My ally“.
Spectators should soon find the son of humorist Michel Leeb on the small and large screen.
Tom Leeb will star in season 2 of Infidèle, TF1’s adaptation of the emotional thriller Dr Foster. In the dark rooms, two feature films are jostling, It’s the life of Julien Rambaldi and spoiled rotten by Nicolas Cuche.
Out of all the participants in Eurovision 2020, 19 have already announced that they will stack up for the following year. The Eurovision final will take place on 22 May 2021 in The Netherlands.
