UKRAINE – STB revelaed the 24 participants for the national selection the winner of which will represent the host country in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. On February 20th there will be draw for the allocation of the semi finals of the national selection which are set for February 4th, 11th and 18th respectively. The national final is set for February 25th.

Kuznetsov is the online voting winner who enters the national selection as the winner with 11,820 votes.
Konstantin Meladze says: “Last year the high standard have been set, which can not be lowered. We chose artists, focusing not only on the quality of their music, fresh and promising material, but also on a variety of styles, sounds, because the national selection should represent the whole palette of the modern Ukrainian music. During the past 4 and a half months of incredible excitement on the part of artists and among a large number of applications we have been able to select very interesting performers, the level of which may even exceed last year’s semi-finalists. Among them, of course, there are very famous musicians, but as well as those for whom it is the first step on the road to the fame. This is why we have the most optimistic expectations of the live broadcasts. Personally, I can’t any longer wait to see how the participants will be accepted by the public”
Victoria Romanova says: “This year, Kyiv will host the “Eurovision”, and the world’s attention will be directed precisely to us. Therefore, in addition to carrying out the international song contest on the highest level, we need to be adequately represented on it musically. In the 2016 national selection, which was conducted by the STB and UΛ:Pershiy, brought victory to Ukraine. Now Ukrainian viewers are again awaiting for a high-level national selection show, in the result of which we will choose the best artists and the most vivid and memorable performance”.
