Considering this is only the second edition of UMK, YLE can be very satisfied with the rates. More qualified singers and bigger promotion contributed to an amazing 32% higher rate than last year in the finals. To be exact, 599.000 people tuned in this year and that is 145.000 more than in 2012.
How ever, there was a 2% down on the semifinal comparing to 2012. But its just about 5000 people so YLE can go blind on it.
Finish representative, Krista, has already filmed a high budget video for her song. She has also signed a contrat with Universal Music Finland, and will perform on Eurovision in concert in Amsterdam before coming up on stage in Malmo on 16th of May in second semifinal.
