GREECE – It seems that the latest incidents at the ERT have caused a series of reactions. Greek media report an alleged resignation of the ERT President mr Dionysis Tsaknis. The man who’s responsible for the two recent worst placings in the Eurovision Song Contest has been heavily criticised not only for his handling in the Eurovision project but also for a series of internal crisis. It was the incident with former member of the Parliament which he humiliated in public by shouting “shut up” and also his reaction to the newly appointed by the Greek parliament CEO.
Respected newspaper Kathimerini reports that the tension between ERT President Dionysis Tsaknis and the Greek government is appeased as the Prime minister didn’t accept his resignation. Therefore Mr Dionysis Tsaknis remains as ERT President with his current duties (and not additional ones as he requested).
