GERMANY – The famous Greek singer Vicky Leandros, decided to open her house and host families of Ukrainian refugees or mothers with their children.
According to German media reports, it is prepared to provide shelter and food to 15 Ukrainian refugees – either families with children or mothers travelling alone with their children, on her farm in the village of Bathurst, outside Hamburg. Germany.
At the same time, as it became known, Vicky Leandros will donate all this year the proceeds of the established annual charity concert she performs with the association “Ein Herz fur kinder” (A heart for children) for the children of Ukraine.
Vasiliki Papathanasiou, generally known as Vicky Leandros, is a Greek singer living in Germany. She is the daughter of singer, musician and composer Leandros Papathanasiou (also known as Leo Leandros as well as Mario Panas).
In 1967 she achieved worldwide fame after gaining a fourth place for the country of Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “L’amour est bleu”, which became a worldwide hit.
