THE NETHERLANDS – Voting troubles have apparently arisen once again for Dutch viewers of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
These incidents happened during the Grand Final on Saturday evening.
The voting troubles are unlikely to have a substantial influence on the results, but the news is disappointing since Dutch viewers supposedly had the same issues in 2021.
Hundreds of individuals reported receiving alerts stating that their ballots had not been correctly completed.
Furthermore, they claimed that their ballots were not tallied because they were received too late, despite the fact that they voted on time. Here are several text message failures from the year 2021.
However, no additional information has been shared.
The EBU’s current position is that the problem is with the Dutch division of telecoms operator T-Mobile. It is unknown how many voters were influenced by this, or if it had an effect on the final Dutch televote.
T-Mobile was unsure of the cause of the issues at the time but has apparently restored the money to those who failed to vote.
Despite voting concerns, the Dutch people may probably take great pleasure in S10’s success in the 2022 tournament.
Overall, she finished 11th in the Grand Final with 171 points. S10 received 171 points from national juries and 42 points from the general public.
