FINLAND – On February 26th, at 20:00 CET, the eleventh edition of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu will take place. The Finnish people (75%) and international jury (25%) will choose Finland’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin.
According to YLE, the UMK22 final will be conducted in front of an audience if it is permitted owing to constraints. However, the event will come to an end when the show’s final and after-party have been cancelled.
YLE will strictly adhere to the Finnish government’s health and safety regulations. The event at Turku’s Logomo is completely sold out. The final of Finland’s national selection was conducted without an audience in 2021.
As a consequence of the epidemic, Estonia had to change their preparations for the live concerts of Eesti Laul, while Iceland had to postpone its Sรถngvakeppnin by one week.
Sweden recently confirmed the postponement of the famed Melodifestivalen Tour, with all events this year taking place in Stockholm.
After the final, Yle planned a massive after-party featuring DJs Anne Lainto, Renaz, and DJ Orkidea, as well as Club La Persรฉ, who participated in Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu in 2017.
The final aims to be a large celebration with the seven participating musicians, all of whom want to represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, as well as guest artists who will be revealed later.
