It was just confirmed that Zeljko Joksimovic and Kristina Kovac will be two out of four mentors in first regional X Factor, where contestants from Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina and FYR Macedonia will compete for prize of 200.000€ which includes full album, two videos and marketing support in all four states.
There is no need to explain who Zeljko is, but in case you forgot who is Kristina, we remind you she composed Serbian entry from 2011 – Caroban. Two more mentors will be announced soon as the show will start airing on 14th October.
It is expected they they will be from other three competing countries so it is fair to the contestants. Also Croatia was supposed to enter the show but they postponed it for next year.
Auditions with the producers are over and there one former Beovizija contest was. It is Nikola Paunovic. He was part of OT band that back in 2009 unfairly lost the national final as they collected more votes than all other contestants together. When more informations come we will update you.
Yesterday we’ve informed you that Zeljko and Kristina were announced as X Factor mentors and judges. Today we present you the last two names. They are Emina Jahovic Sandal and Zoran Kiki Lesandric.
Emina participated in national selections in Bosnia & Herzegovina in 2002, and in Serbia in 2010. She first shot her glory back in 2001, when her whole album was produced by Dino Merlin, Bosnian representative from 1999. and 2011. She is married to Mustafa Sandal, famous Turkish singer.
Now they have another thing in common as he was also a judge and mentor, but in Turkish editon of The Voice. Her songs are mostly in folk/pop genre with some Turkish influnce, while on the other hand Kiki’s style is rock. He is founding member of the band Piloti, megapopular bend in all ex-Yugoslav countries.
You could remember him from one of ours previous articles where we mentioned that he accused Bosnian representatives from 2009 (Regina) for copying his song “Oltar”. Also we said that the regional show will start on 14th October, but it seems that the premiere is postponed for few days on 22nd.
The Grand Finale of the show is scheduled for the end of February 2014 and it will be held in home of 53rd Eurovision Song Contest – Belgrade Arena, that is now called KomBank Arena.
